Helpful staff, very pleasant surroundings, first class fixtures & fittings in rooms and throughout the hotel
Bar and restaurant very expensive. Location adjacent shopping centre(s) but no local bars & restaurants, a taxi is called for to go to anywhere of interest.

The staff were excellent and recommended two wonderful restaurants. The room was superb and the vip lounge first class - all in all highly recommended.
Food and beverage prices were a little on the high side.

Staff is very good. Location. Clean, big, comfortable rooms. We had access to VIP lounge, beautiful views, coffee, tea, water. Could have a few snacks.
Hotel at this price range that charges extra for Wi-fi internet is absurd! On top of that, they charge for a towel (you cannot bring your own) at the SPA (2 miniature saunas). It sounds cheap for a good quality hotel.

The room is spacious and amenities in the room adequate, although a hot water flask would be good for guests to make a hot drink after a day out.
Although the window view from my room is not blocked, we could hear construction and machinery noise early in the morning. Also, we could hear children's voices from our room but could not pinpoint where they came from - could it perhaps be from the vent or from the next room or surrounding?

Absolutely everything, from the initial greeting, courtesy, information and consideration of the duty manager; the room chosen for us and the view of the city and river from our bedroom window; the politeness and attentiveness of staff, the ease of access from outside the hotel lobby to all places of interest in the city via alternate buses either to Rossio or Cais do Soudre; the excellence of the evening meals we enjoyed in Dom Pedro Palace and the variety of options in the Amoreiras Centre closeby, or Corte Ingles not very far away. Transport by taxi or bus to and from the hotel was readily available whenever we needed to move quickly and the airport was accessible in less than thirty minutes..
We liked Dom Pedro Palace without reservation.

great access to parks and major city attractions
I loved enjoying the huge selection at breakfast while staying in a spacious room with fine views from the 19th floor, making my weekend getaway nice. Plus, I found it easy to stroll to Parque Eduardo VII, just a short walk away, perfect for my city walks and letting me soak in Lisbon's beautiful park scenery.

large breakfast to start the day with many local dishes and which would cater for most tastes, as example.

Aging facilities need an update!!! Many fixtures feel clunky and rooms show wear. Inconsistent air conditioning can lead to uncomfortable nights!!! Too much street noise spoils relaxation.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk; always willing to go the extra miles to support customers. Suite was big and the view over Lisbon is fantastic (ask for a room facing south as otherwise you will be at the back of the hotel with almost no sun and view). Location is ok and even if not right in the "center", a cab ride to Bairo alto costs 5 euros, so it is not an issue. Spa / Gym clean
Spa is undersized for a "Palace" hotel and very disorganized (lack of lockers, lack of space) but staff very friendly and helpful. Italian restaurant dramatically overpriced compare to the city standard (go to Mezzaluna restaurant which is a jewel 10 minutes walk away from the hotel). Worst bit came from the bistro bar restaurant in the lobby floor: on new years eve, we were a party of 4 and got told at 9.30 pm that we had to wait 10 minutes for a table and then could order "a la carte"(please note that it was not busy as they were having a main party upstairs). We got a table 30 minutes later to be told at 11 that the kitchen was closed and the we could only get snacks...similar thing happened on the 1st jan where reception indicated that we could order from the bistro (2 of us), but got told that the kitchen was closed by waiters. There seems to be either a lack of staff or lack of communication but we ended up eating outside when we wanted to give them business...Palace is a prestigious name to bear and Dom Pedro is not there yet. Again, rates are competitive so you get what you pay for.

The hotel was a touch too far from the city centre for walking, taking a taxi was the only means of easy access.
